Valene Skerpac is a cyber security executive with extensive experience and success in leading security in fast pace, dynamic environments. She is known for translating complex security challenges into an actionable strategy while enabling business growth. Valene is currently sole proprietor of Security CThink, providing security guidance to organizations to enable business leveraging modern technologies, such as AI and Cloud Security.

 

As a senior security executive at Accenture for over twelve years, Valene led and advised institutions on transformations, building security programs, and ensuring compliance mandates were met. Earlier in her career, Valene was both a CIO and CISO at an insurance company. She founded a biometrics firm where she patented a voice-based biometric authentication solution employing AI providing her with a deep appreciation for machine learning (ML), data science and embedding security to benefit society.

 

Valene holds CISSP, CISM, CCISO, AAISM and cloud security certifications. She is an active member of the technology and cybersecurity community through SIM, ISC2, ISACA, OWASP, CSA, T200 Leadership, and CISO Society. She was awarded a biometric voice security patent and won Accenture Innovation finalist award using AI to improve application security.
