5/22/26 As Anthropic moves towards releasing Mythos, the powerful cybersecurity vulnerability detection model, to the public and as competing models become closer to being more broadly availability, security executives can consider tools for cyberdefense that have been developed, as reported by Anthropic in their initial Project Glasswing update on May 22nd last week.
Project Glasswing, a program that allows access to Mythos to select entities only (because public access would allow cybercriminals to use the model to quickly find and exploit software flaws), has led to the development of tools to make it easier for organizations address vulnerabilities.
Per Anthropic’s initial update, the release of tools available includes skills (custom instructions for repeated work), a harness that facilitates mapping the codebase-spinning up scanning subagents-triaging findings-producing reports, and a threat model builder that identifies potential attack targets and prioritizes fixes.
