Given its incredible speed of change, AI has made the cybersecurity environment increasing brittle, anxious, nonlinear, and incomprehensible, making the traditional VUCA planning inadequate. Recommendations include that boards ‘assume compromise’, create AI knowledge beyond IT, attach AI initiatives to operational resilience, and fortify cross-functional governance.
